Hours: Tues. 7 am - noon, Thursdays 2 pm - 7 pm, and the
1st Saturday of each month, from 8 am - 3 pm.
This long-term HHW program is the result of an intergovernmental
agreement between the Illinois EPA and the City of Chicago's
Dept. of the Environment. This facility accepts batteries,
electronics, household chemicals, and old medicines.

The Solid Waste Agency of
Lake County (SWALCO) currently operates a long-term household
chemical waste collection program. Information and a
collection schedule can be found on the SWALCO
Web site, or by calling 847-336-9340. |
